Description Bottom fishing

The coastline and offshore environments of Aruba are renowned for their natural beauty. A good start for the day at 7 am  hours spent bottom fishing is a great way of relaxing and unwinding during your trip away, no matter whether you're an experienced angler or a complete novice. On board, you'll find all the latest fishing equipment and essential tackle to make the most of your fishing excursion, plus all the other little necessities required for any adventure. Many of our pre-selected fishing spots are close to the shore, so you'll get a first-rate view of the island from a unique angle. Bottom fishing trips are entered into completely at your own risk, although our professional team is on hand to ensure as safe an excursion as possible. We provide a host of safety equipment on board, including life jackets, not to mention medication and remedies to combat seasickness if your stomach becomes a little unsettled during a trip on the high seas and heavy swells. Our packages are focused on smaller groups of two to five people, ensuring everyone in your party gets the full attention of our friendly staff. Enjoy a delicious bite to eat as you chat and watch the sun set over the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

The trip is available from 1 to 6 persons and takes 3 hours, usually we sail out around 7 or 8 o'clock in the morning to return at 10 or 11 o'clock at the pier. In consultation we can also leave earlier or later, but the sooner the more chance of a good catch. The price is for max 4 people and add 1 people costs 50 up to 6 people, includes soft drinks and water.

We charge 25$ fuel costs per hour.

Bottom fish species

As you explore the underwater environments around Aruba, you'll encounter many different bottom fish species. Our fishing trips are planned ahead of time with the best spots in mind, ensuring you're exposed to as broad a range as fish species as possible. Our team is clued up about the best fishing locations around the island and know which species are indigenous to each individual area, letting you know which are safe to catch and which need to be returned to their native habitat. Adventure Sports is committed to preserving the ecological diversity around the island, and preservation is one of our main mission statements. Our bottom fishing excursions are carried out along the shores of the island, offering beautiful views of Aruba from the water. What's more, our bottom fishing trips are carried out in calmer waters, so the chance of seasickness is a lot less likely than with our deep sea fishing excursions.

Bottom fishing Aruba

In the shallow waters along the coastline of Aruba, the temperatures are often warmer than conditions further out to sea, contributing to a high volume of tropical fish species and marine life. That is why bottom fishing in Aruba is very popular. The coral reefs are at their most abundant in these shallow depths of the Caribbean. Here, the water remains incredibly clear, so you can look forward to quality, jaw-dropping views of fish, including lionfish, balloonfish and parrotfish. Get ready to marvel at a spectacular colour palette, courtesy of some of the most beautiful tropical fish species in the world. If you'd like to get a closer look at these incredible animals in their natural habitat, Adventure Sports also offers snorkeling excursions, which you can merge into your fishing trip. All of our packages are focused on smaller groups of between two to six people, so everyone can enjoy the best time possible and get full access to our professional team on board. What's more, you can look forward to incredible fishing and snorkeling sites far removed from the beaten track, so you won't have to contend with the usual throngs of tourists. Aruba enjoys an average temperature of 30 degrees Celsius throughout the year, so every month is an ideal time for a visit. The island itself is home to more than 80 different nationalities, and you'll have no trouble connecting with the welcoming inhabitants of Aruba. Get in touch with Adventure Sports Aruba today to start planning your bottom fishing activities, or speak to the team about further excursions on the water, including snorkeling and diving. All of our activities can be booked for half-day and full-day excursions, with multi-day options also available if you're looking to make the most of your time on the island.
