PADI Open Water Course Aruba
Would you like to get your PADI Open Water? At Adventure Sports Aruba we offer you, together with your family or friends, the opportunity to learn to dive in the beautiful clear Caribbean ocean of Aruba. We only do private lessons with your own family or friends.
Pleas note: You must pass your theory in advance (this can be done online via PADI, see the description below at step 1). We only take the next step with you and that is practice. Before you start the practice, you must have obtained your theory online.
Before you can start a PADI Open Water course, you must first complete a PADI medical questionnaire.
If you complete the medical questionnaire with an NO, you can continue with step 2. If you answer is an YES, you must first request a doctor's statement and if your doctor agrees (must sign for it) you can continue with step 2 and that's diving. Practice in water.
Start your certification from home by enrolling In PADI eLearning now. The world's most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Here you can start your online course: online by padi e-learing
After having completed the theoretical online directly on PADI website, you go to the sea in a group of 1 to 4 people in 2 or 3 half-days together with our experienced Padi instructors.
Then you can start with the practical part of the pool skills, we always try to do this directly in the sea, so that you can get used to it immediately. This takes about 4 hours to learn what is involved in diving. Explanation of the use of your equipment, tank, lead and gear. Then you go into the sea (where it is shallow) to start with the basic exercises. You will practice with the scuba gear in the shallow sea until you feel comfortable with it. Diving is a very safe sport if you know what you are doing that is why our instructor wants to know that you understand and master the basis.
The PADI course includes hands-on exercises to build confidence in applying the new skills before completing four open water dives (2 dives spread over 2 half days).
After you build confidence in applying the new skills you will make 2 dives (2 tank dives) of about 35 to 50 minutes. During your first 2 dives you will perform some of your learned exercises and learn to relax in the water.
The last day you will start with the other 2 dives of about 35 to 50 minutes with again a number of exercises so you can show that you have completely mastered and then the instructor can certify you and you are a Padi Open water diver.

If you already have your PADI Open Water it is also possible to get your Advanced Open Water Diver at Aruba with Adventure Sports. With the advanced course you will learn some extra skills after the Open Water Course. You will learn 5 extra skills with the Advanced.
